Not at all.

[He doesn't want to talk about it, because he doesn't want to think about it, but they're both here and it isn't likely anyone else will stop by the bar right now... so fine, why not. Yeager props his elbow on the table and then his chin on his hand.]

We don't have any real proof that what they're speculating is true, outside of Tenn's belief that it's Riku's writing. It could be faked. But they really do want to believe that that's what we're dealing with here.

[Maybe they find the notion of being able to communicate with the deceased comforting, but Yeager obviously doesn't. His usual smile's vanished, for once.]

[That gets a scoff from him, and he finally pours himself a glass.]

Agreed. It seems far more likely that this is something Hamelin or the fairies are doing to further agitate us. What could be more entertaining than giving us false hope before destroying it?

[But something about that doesn't quite add up either... He's probably going to need to try to pry more information out of Hamelin.]

It's baffling that they all immediately assumed that and saw nothing wrong with it or off about it in any way. It's also certainly not going to end well if they blindly trust those notes.

[Which would probably be entertaining and something he'd be encouraging were we not also discussing the possibility that people don't die when they're killed.]

It seems more likely than not, really.

[As for that question, he scoffs before taking a drink. He's not exactly a spy, you know!! But he's close enough, so yeah, alright.]

I'd be shocked if he didn't. I asked him if he was keeping track of us all the time and he said he wasn't - so it seems very likely that someone is giving him information about what we're up to. It may just be the fairies - with his magic, who knows what they're capable of - but planting one among us seems to be in line with his general sense of humor, ja? He'd likely enjoy that reveal.

I imagine he'd find it fun to see exactly how much the mole is willing to give him as well. I can't imagine he's entirely unaware of what we're doing during the week, after all. Maybe there's more than one of them...?

[Or maybe the fairies are able to keep better track of us than he's assuming. Either way, it's definitely not a good look for the rest of us.]

I wonder where all this is leading to. I can't imagine he'd go to all this trouble simply for his own entertainment.

I don't know what end he's after. I can't imagine it's really just to see us all dead at the end. This setup's a bit too complex for something like that.

[There are plenty of ways to kill a group of people that don't involve murdergames, so.]

But as for what his real aim is... I haven't the faintest idea.

[Which is agitating enough to get him to take another sip.]

All of this as a setup to achieve something specific, hmm... You might be onto something there.

[But what could it be that Hamelin's after - or whoever's actually in charge here? This seems like a lot of work so the payoff must be worth it, but...]

Well, I suppose speculating won't really get us far without anything more sufficient. Perhaps we'll come across something interesting at some point.

Somehow, I doubt things are going to get better any time soon...

[Letters from the dead are just the cherry on top here. He really could use a proper drink.]

Well, I do appreciate the discussion. It's good to know we're on the same page~

[For the Hamelin stuff sure, but mostly for how goddamn upsetting this whole "the dead aren't really dead" thing is.]
