His relationship with the Commandant was supposed to be professional and nothing more- a relationship that he could hopefully escape one day. He'd been dreaming of it more and more in the days before his arrival here, that maybe, just maybe, he could become something more than Alexei's doll on a short leash. He thought that was all Alexei saw him as anyway. But if that's truly the case...how does it explain any of this, then? And how can he explain his own enjoyment that he's getting out of this?
